sgomez,
This is a great vid. along with all the others. I think you have something great. Question, your style is purely day trade and no swings trading(holding positions for 1 to several days)?
I was reading the comments and i think that mets48855 is a bit overbearing too! Dude, stop trying to show how much you know! No one cares! If you are so “enlightened” or knowledgeable, start a blog, site or whatever else of your own.
As for trading and charging money, where do you come off accusing the man of just website building. He obviously has a service of value.
Why so serious?
mets48855 is a fucking retard….dude shut up and just learn
By the way the US DOLLAR INDEX has dropped from 88 to 78 in just under a month. Once the banks stop hoarding cash and start lending it get ready for a lot of inflation.
Wall Streets big ben bernanke thinks he can monetize the debt with side effects. The moron has openly said he will purchase treasuries!
GOODBYE AMERICAN STANDARD OF LIVING!
When did you get started daytrading? Oh, that’s right during the “easy money” late 90’s. Anyway, I just think its sad that you have to resort to running a website to pay bills.
Decimalization killed the “easy money” is what I think you meant to say. Volatility is not dead, have you seen the .VIX the last 3 months?
I agree with all your macro views. Short term trading will be the play. With all the ETF’s we now have that we did not have in the 70’s there are more options now for Equities traders to go and find the action in a sideways market.
Besides every one today wants to be a trader. In 1982 nobody was interested in stocks and that was the bottom. Until we return to that pychological enviroment your going to have too many traders fighting over too few profit oppurtunities!
All these baby boomers are looking for people to unload their stock on. It sure ain’t going to be me.
The only reason trading became a profession was because of the current account deficit. The excess dollars that foreigners accumulated came back into the US creating all the asset bubbles. The stock bubble was created by foreign dollar reserves and now that foreigners are rejecting the dollar your going to see a realignment in the way the us economy works.
My advice to those looking to enter this business, prepare for alot of frustration and lost money. Better yet you should probably go into another line of work. Perhaps farming or agriculture. This is going to be a repeat of 1970’s. Massive inflation and a choppy trading enviroment.
The big question you have to anwser is that if these guys are so good then why are they charging so much for their website??
Buy and hold is dead. I agree with many points you make but trading is an art form of adaption. If you cant adapt you fail. We have never used Level 2, ECN Books, or Time and Sales anyway. We follow sector strength and money flow.
Trading is dead. Momentum trading doesn’t work anymore. Level 2 trading doesn’t work. There are no more Ax market makers. Decimalization has killed the volatility.
Trading algorithims have made reading a stock practically impossible. All day long you see 100 shares 200 shares going buy on time and sales. Iceberg orders and reserve orders are disguising the real order flow. So even if you have all the ECN books and level 2 you aren’t going to be able to read a stock.

The 10 period moving average is my favorite to use for momentum trading. I like to have 5 minute charts looking at 3 days so I can see support and resistance.
